Help Challenge Government Cuts to Motability –

The Motability Scheme has been a lifeline for disabled people across the UK for decades. It’s not a luxury. It’s not a bonus. It’s what allows people to live — to get to hospital, to work, to care for family, to have any kind of independence.

Now, that lifeline is being quietly dismantled.

From July 2026, the Government’s changes mean:

Mileage is being effectively cut in half
Charges are being massively increased
Systems are being introduced that monitor and score how people drive

For many people, especially those with serious conditions, rural lives, or caring responsibilities, this isn’t manageable.

It’s impossible.

I’ve spent time speaking to people across the country, and the stories are all the same:

People travelling hundreds of miles for treatment.
Parents driving their disabled children long distances just to access education.
Families already stretched being pushed into debt — or forced to give up their vehicle altogether.

And without that vehicle?

They don’t just lose a car.

They lose their independence.
Their access to healthcare.
Their connection to the outside world.

They become isolated.

Housebound.

Invisible.

So I’ve decided to challenge this — properly.

I am bringing a Judicial Review against HM Treasury, because I believe these decisions have been made without properly considering the real impact on disabled people, as required under the Equality Act 2010.

This case is about one simple principle:

You cannot design a system for disabled people that excludes the people who need it most.

I’m doing this as a litigant in person, because I believe this needs to be challenged — not talked about, not complained about — challenged.

But I can’t do it alone.

This is a fight not just for me, but for thousands of people who are about to be pushed out of a system that was supposed to support them.

If you believe this is wrong, please support this.

Whether that’s donating, sharing, or simply helping raise awareness — it all matters.

Because once this is gone, it won’t be easy to get back.

And for many people, the consequences will be permanent.
