Chalceus Recovery Fund!

Many of you have met or know of Chalceus, and what a big lover boy he is. He's given so many of you cuddles, sweet purrs, and has snuggled into your lap to ease anxiety and discomfort. Chalceus's family grew when Lore started practicing bodywork out of her home. It's clear he remembers everyone individually because she sees the unique attention he gives each person. Folks often say his presence calms their nerves, and he's even gotten invitations to join them on the table during massage because his presence is so comforting.

Unfortunately, Chalceus is experiencing major kidney and GI issues. He is in the ER, and we are asking for help to keep him there to get him stable instead of having to discharge him due to unaffordability and be put down in pain. There's a chance he could live for many more years if he just gets the chance.

Lore is a pillar in any community she is a part of. The services she offers are filled with love and care for anyone that crosses her path. She is usually the person donating to, raising funds, or offering her services for free for different people and communities. It would mean the world to her to see this outpouring of love she gives to her communities be poured back into her during this time of need.

Chalceus is looking at 3 to 4 days of hospitalization, with the hope that his kidney levels can be brought back down to normal. Depending on how this goes and what level of discomfort he would be experiencing living with kidney failure/gastrointestinal issues, there are two options that we are looking at. If he is able to live with these conditions without the uncomfortable/painful symptoms he has been experiencing these past few days, then we are looking at managing his treatment. If these symptoms will be recurring and causing him to suffer, then the route is making the very difficult decision of at-home ethical euthanasia.
