Hello, I never thought I’d be here to the point that my dog's life is on the line. If you know Chai, you know how much energy she has, how much she loves to play, and how vocal she is at all times (I think that’s the Husky in her)… and if you don’t know Chai, now you know some little things about her.
Last Wednesday, Chai drank water fast, ate her food, and threw it up after. Since that incident, she hasn’t eaten anything, not even her favorite snacks/treats. She's only drank water, and she's been lethargic. It started to raise more concern and uncertainty. So, I proceeded to take her to the emergency vet, where they only did one X-ray when I signed for them to do all three views. The vet came back stating she didn’t see anything in her X-ray (in regards to foreign bodies).
We proceeded to the regular vet, where they did all the X-ray views and discovered indeed that she has a foreign body and needs to have emergency surgery. The fact that it’s kind of late means there’s a possibility that part of her intestines may have died, so they’ll have to clip that and sew it back together. The only other option I would have would be to euthanize her. If you know how much I love my dogs, you know how devastating this is for me to even hear and truly don’t even want to consider that option.
