Help Chad Wohlgamuth’s Family

Donation protected
Chad Wohlgamuth passed away on January 4, 2022 and his family needs our support to help with medical bills, funeral expenses, and everyday expenses including mortgage, electric, gas, water, car loan, food etc. Chad didn’t have a pension for the family to receive money. Due to medical reasons he was not able to perform the job duties at his previous job so he went back to college and started a new job about 3 years ago. We are asking for any help that you are able to give, no amount is too small. The goal is to give this family $25,000.00 to help with all the expenses incurred as a result of Chad’s unexpected passing.

Chad (Woogy-Bear) was just 48 years old when he got a diagnosis that he could not prepare himself or his family for. On December 1, 2021 Chad tested positive for Covid. On December 7th his wife Marie had to call the rescue squad to take him to Mercy Health St Rita’s as Chad was struggling breathing. He was diagnosed with bi-lateral pneumonia which was caused by Covid. On December 10th Chad was put on a ventilator and was completely sedated and was not able to communicate. He was allowed one visitor a day for only 30 minutes which was his wife, Marie. The hospital staff told his wife that it would be a lot of ups and downs and would be a roller coaster, that is exactly what it was. It started off by Chad having to be on 100% oxygen to him showing improvement to then taking several steps backwards. Chad had to start dialysis through this process as his kidneys started shutting down. During his final days he was also maxed out on 2 blood pressure medications. His wife stated that during this whole time that there wasn’t a day that Chad didn’t show her he wasn’t fighting even during the final days and she also fought by his side every single day and prayed for a miracle. Marie had to make several decisions through this journey including the hardest decision she will ever have to make.
Chad was the father of 3 daughters and a paw paw to 3 granddaughters. His youngest daughter passed away on January 10th, 2003 when she was only 14 months old. During Chad’s funeral Chad’s daughters and wife wrote letters that were read and we wanted to share part of these letters as they describe what kind of person Chad was and shows how much he will be missed.
“A father’s love is patient, kind, humble honest, forgiving, faithful, and selfless” “He was always the cool dad” “He was and is a good man, a family man” “my mom’s best friend and the best paw paw to my girls”
“Always loved me for who I was, encouraged me to be who I am and always has been my #1 supporter” “you’ll always be the first man I ever loved and the first hand I’ve ever held” “thank you for being my superhero and the best friend a girl could ask for”
And Marie writes, “You have not only been my husband all these years but also my best friend” “ You have always been my rock” “I have always admired your dedication to our daughters and granddaughters” “You have always been an inspiration for me to be a better person” “Thank you for showing me that we were worth fighting for” “Goodbyes are not forever, Goodbyes are not the end, They simply mean I’ll miss you until we meet again”
Chad has impacted so many people throughout his life and he will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Please help us honor Chad by helping his family in this time of need.
