On May 9, 2026, Chad was a passenger in a van in Austin, Texas when they were t-boned by another car at 50 mph. The impact left Chad with a collapsed lung, broken collarbone, broken pelvis, eight broken ribs, and a potential lower spine injury. He is currently in the hospital, facing a long road to recovery and unable to return home to Phoenix, AZ until his condition stabilizes.
