Help Chad Rebuild After Tragic Accident

On Friday, May 9th, Chad Register was involved in a car accident that has left him with severe and life-altering injuries. Chad suffered a spinal cord injury at the C6 and C7 vertebrae and is now paralyzed from the chest down. He also has limited function in his hands. We hope that with lots of time and therapy, he may regain some use of his hands.

If you know Chad, you know he is a farmer and one of the hardest-working men there’s ever been. It’s not uncommon for him to work 70-hour weeks from sunup to sundown. While most would complain about this, Chad often says he’s one of the only people in the world that truly loves what he does. Farming is his passion, and his injuries have taken his ability to work/farm moving forward.

One of our favorite things about Chad is his generosity and giving heart. In situations like these, he is often the first to provide physical assistance, financial assistance, or pray for those in need. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it, and now, he’s the one in need of help. Chad has a long road ahead of him, and our family will have to make lots of changes and adjustments to adapt to our new normal. We are asking for donations that will be used toward the following:

• Chad’s hospital stay

• Inpatient rehabilitation

• Ongoing therapies

• Supporting the loss of Chad’s income

• Home modifications/construction for accessibility

• Assistive devices/technologies

• Caregiving expenses

This has been a truly devastating blow for Chad and our family. Chad has given his life to working the land and serving others without ever asking for anything in return, and now in an instant, his life has been changed forever.
