Hello,

My name is Lisa McLaughlin and my son Chad Hyden had an accident on June 18th while working on his truck at his home in Bertram, TX crushing him under his truck when the jack fell. His spine was snapped at the T12, surgery was preformed on June 20th leaving him unable to feel anything from the waist down. Since then some of the feeling in his legs has returned, but nothing yet in his feet or lower stomach or bowels. Due to unfortunate circumstances Chad had no insurance. The hospital released him to Texas Neuro Rehab in which he was supposed to be there for months, but due to no insurance he was released after only to weeks into my care at home. He has been home for a week and he is working hard to deal with his new life. Luckily we have great friends and family and have been able to purchase or borrow the big ticket items (wheel chair, ramps, medical supplies) and his prescriptions needed until his new insurance that starts on August 1st gets in place. He has applied for SSDI, we have been told it can take 30+ days to be accepted. We still need help with his monthly bills and groceries for this time period. We have faith that Chad will get better but it is in God's hands now and we all know God has a plan for Chad. If you can help we will greatly appreciate help in anyway.
