Chad is the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. A lot of us at the plant know him as the one who shows up when you’re in a tough spot. Years ago, when my family was struggling at Christmas, Chad stepped in and helped us when he didn’t have to. That’s how our friendship started.

He went into the hospital expecting to get a couple of stents put in. Once they got in there, the doctors realized it was way worse than they thought, and he ended up needing an emergency triple bypass surgery. The surgery went well, thank God, but now he’s looking at being off work for around three months while he recovers. This is after already missing three months of work when they were working on his blood pressure.

I’m putting this GoFundMe together to help cover his basic expenses during recovery—rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, and gas for follow-up appointments—so he can focus on healing and not lie awake stressing over money.
