Help Chachi Beat Neck Cancer

We all know him, we all love him. He’s been slinging drinks in Key West for over 30 years. Making us all our favorite cocktails with a smile whenever we seen him. Island Dogs is where you’ll find him now but before that he was a bartender at Fat Tuesdays.

Unfortunately last year in October Chachi was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma Neck Cancer. At that time he did not have Health Insurance like many. Luckily he was able to get Insurance that started January 1st that will cover a large portion of his medical bills moving forward. Up until that point he had already came out of pocket for over $16,000 for tests and Dr appts. This past week he also had to go to a dentist which his insurance does not cover, in order to get signed off for Radiation and Chemo for 7 weeks starting this Monday. Chachi’s main profession is a Lobster & Stone Crab fisherman. Over the next 7 weeks this may be a very tough time for him to work, putting him in a tough financial position. He has already removed many of his traps from the water since he knows that he will not be able to fish them during this time. His next 7 weeks will be 5 days a week of radiation treatment and once a week for 7 weeks of Chemo.
