Help CFS build a Forest School shelter

Hello! I'm Abbey Moore, founder and director of the Cumberland Forest School in Sewanee, TN. Our mission as a school is to support students on their journey to becoming compassionate, self-sufficient, and mindful individuals. We accomplish this goal by providing our students with a supportive and safe learning environment, trusting them with real responsibility, and establishing everlasting bonds with the natural world.

We are looking to build a permanent, sturdy, weather-resistant shelter or yurt that will allow us to host larger groups of students as our community and class grows. Please consider helping us reach this financial goal so that we can afford the materials necessary to build our outdoor classroom!
