Cesar is a caring person overall, a wonderful dad and step-dad, and a loving fiancé. He’s always been the heart of our family, and his passion for music as a drummer with the Mendozaz a family band between all brother's, brought joy to everyone around him. Now he has been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis and due to the liver failure it damaged other organs and now he might need a heart transplant as well due to iron build up. That part is still in the talks and praying the iron decreases, Cesar is facing the toughest battle of his life. He’s been hospitalized at Northwestern Memorial hospital for over two months, unable to leave because he needs daily blood and platelet transfusions. The doctors are discussing a possible liver transplant, but his condition means he can’t attend outpatient classes or return home yet.
This experience has deeply affected our family. Our youngest child can’t visit Cesar often because of hospital restrictions, and I stay with him when I can since I am a full time mom ,we do have our kids that need to be taken care of our 15yr old , 13 yr old and 3 yr old , I am also a full-time job and trying to manage everything is hard, while his mom is there almost every day despite her age and exhaustion. Our family is very close, and Cesar’s absence is felt by everyone—he’s the missing piece in our lives. The emotional toll is heavy, and the financial strain is growing as we struggle to cover medical bills, treatment, and daily living expenses. Without Cesar at home, it’s been hard to keep up, and we’re worried about how to manage everything.
We’re raising funds to help pay for Cesar’s medical care, daily transfusions, and the costs of living while he’s in the hospital. Your support will allow Cesar to focus on his recovery and the hope of a liver transplant, without the added stress of financial worries. It would mean the world to our family to bring him home safe and help us stay united as we fight this together. Thank you in advanced and for all your support.
