Help Certify Max as Q2L's Comfort Dog

Quest to Learn would like to have a dog trained at the Good Dog Foundation and be certified. They are training dogs for the DOE to work in schools. View this Link from the TV News from the Today Show visited PS 33.

My name is Beaura Kathy Ringrose, I am the Parent Coordinator for Quest to Learn. A DOE Public School 6 to 12 school 02M422 located in the Chelsea area in NYC. I'm trying to raise money to certify a dog name Max with the Good Dog Foundation to be a Comfort dog for Quest to Learn. Max is a Service Dog but will need to be certified with the Good Dog Foundation. This organize works with NYC Department of Education’s Animal Assisted Interventions (AAI) Comfort Dog and will train Max to be certify school Comfort Dog. Our Comfort Dog will work one on one or with very small groups. In the library, also collaboration with service providers to meet individual student needs (Speech/OT/PT). Small group counseling focusing on coping skills. It has been reported in schools, Comfort Dogs decrease anxiety, increased motivation, communication, and improvement with anger management, peer relations. All AAI Comfort Dogs have successfully received their Therapy Dog Certification. Comfort dogs are extensively trained to handle the clinical and emotional situations that may arise in a school atmosphere as well as during small group and individual therapeutic sessions.

Q2L’s Comfort Dog candidate, Max, has passed his first 2 tests to allow him to go forward to attend classes at a DOE school. Max already passed a number of tests showing he stays calm, does not react when a cart is coming towards him. Max was not scared with a person using a cane, crutches, wheelchair, bike, bouncing ball, or a skateboard along with people wearing a big hat, large glasses, and fog horn being used. The other test Max showed he can walk calmly on a dog lease sit, stay, lay down, and leave it / drop it.

I am looking to cover the cost of training at the Good Dog Foundation, to allow Max to be Quest to Learn's Comfort Dog and also cover Max's treats for students to give to him.
