The Central Virginia Vipers Power Soccer Team is returning to National Championship this year! From June 19-22, 2025, the Vipers will travel to the Turnstone Plassman Athletic Center in Fort Wayne, IN, to compete for the United States Power Soccer Association Founders Cup. Our conference will consist of 13 teams from as far away as Oregon, Colorado, and Texas, as well as some familiar teams from the East coast.
Power soccer is a sport for power wheelchair users where players use a specialized chair with guards attached to play soccer on an indoor basketball court.
Our team is currently made up of 8 players - 3 players with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, 3 players with Cerebral Palsy, and 2 Disabled veterans. Our Coach is one of the Disabled Veterans who is also a player.
We are starting this fundraiser to ask for your support as we endeavor to continue in the proud power soccer tradition that is growing in Virginia. Players take on the cost of travel and lodging. However, the costs of tournament fees in addition to repair, maintain, and transport our specialized Strike Force chairs, can add up quickly. No amount is too small, and your consideration is greatly appreciated!
