From his first classroom at age 11 to the halls of Johns Hopkins this fall, he’s risen above significant challenges to get here - all to dedicate his life to service.
Please join us as we celebrate Celumusa's incredible achievement and help us warmly welcome him to the United States.

Over two decades ago, Celumusa Ndlangamandla began his schooling at the age of 11 in Eswatini, Africa. Despite significant hardship (including the loss of both of his parents), he graduated as one of the top students of his high school class and earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Nursing, all while continuing to serve his community: volunteering in clinics and raising funds for other youth facing health and financial challenges.
Now, Celumusa has been accepted into the PhD in Nursing program at Johns Hopkins University—one of the most prestigious and competitive programs in the world.
So many of you have supported Celumusa's academic journey in the past. Today, I’m reaching out one last time to invite both new and old friends to help him take this final step.
Celumusa's tuition is covered along with a modest student stipend. However, living costs in Baltimore are high and expenses can add up quickly. I am aiming to raise $5,000/year (totaling $20,000 over the next four years) to help offset unexpected costs. This support will ensure Celumusa can focus fully on his studies, health, and continued service to others—without the strain of financial uncertainty.
How you can help:
- Donate what you can: $5, $50, $500, $5000—every gift matters.
- Share this page with friends or family.
- Help amplify the story on social media.
Whether you're an old friend of this journey or just hearing about it for the first time: thank you so much.
I’ve had the privilege of being Celumusa's friend for over 22 years, and from the very beginning, he has always sought out ways to learn, to serve and to give back. By helping him, you are helping countless others.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign. Every bit of support gets us closer to the goal.
With deep gratitude,
