Help Celine and Family Find Peace from Financial Burden

Thank you in advance for your consideration and generosity. Thank you for your support and taking the time to read about my unfortunate housing experience. I am starting this fund as one of the last efforts in receiving financial support to alleviate the overwhelming and unanticipated burdens that I have undertaken in the past few months dealing with MYND management.

In late April I suffered a severe workplace eye injury that left me with diminished sight in my right eye and I was out of work for nearly a month. In my time recovering I acquired two dogs which now serve as my assistance animals.

During this time, the shower in my apartment remained broken for about a month before the maintenance team of my housing unit could resolve the issue. They wrongfully held me responsible for the break and unjustly charged me hundreds of dollars for their services. I contested this charge and got denied.

Shortly after their visit, the maintenance technician notified management of my dogs which I only had for a few days. They preemptively charged me an additional $500 fee for housing them before I could complete their pet screening. Management requested documentation that supported my need for assistance animals. Upon explaining the delay in providing the documentation due to my injury as well as my primary care physician being out on maternity leave, they eventually threatened to hire an attorney, threatened to evict my dogs and proceeded to charge me in back fees.

The accrual of these fees in a short amount of time and MYND management combining all of these charges together with the rent prevented my housemates and I from renewing the lease for the coming year, causing management to charge us another additional monthly fee until the account is cleared of the balance.

Despite working a full-time job, picking up multiple side jobs, exhausting all of my resources, and doing my best to pay off all these charges, I've fallen into a deficit that has left me struggling to pay rent, further exacerbating the issue.

My anxiety has significantly worsened over the course of the summer because of this, at times leaving me in states of paralysis, causing me to further isolate myself, and struggling to take care of my basic needs. The funds raised from this GoFundMe will assist me in paying off the balance so that I can secure housing for myself and my family and return to some semblance of emotional and financial stability. Receiving these funds would be life-changing and a huge relief. I am calling on and leaning into community to help me out of this struggle, truly anything helps and is much appreciated.
