Hell everyone, my name is Celeste. I’m reaching out for help as I go through one of the hardest seasons of my life.
I received a kidney transplant almost two years ago, and while I’m deeply grateful for this second chance, I’ve recently faced a series of serious setbacks. Since September, I’ve been in and out of the hospital fighting recurring infections that have affected my new kidney. Unfortunately, the strong antibiotics needed to treat these infections have made me much sicker and caused new complications — one of which I’m currently hospitalized for.
Doctors have mentioned that I may need additional procedures, including reopening the area between my kidney and bladder to help with drainage and narrowing. They’ve also discussed more intensive treatments, such as a fecal transplant or even, if things don’t improve, the possibility of a stomach transplant. It’s a lot to take in, but I’m staying hopeful and doing everything I can to get better.
Because I’ve spent so much time in the hospital from September through now, I’ve lost most of my work hours and fallen behind essential bills. I’m trying to raise money to catch up and relieve some of the stress while I focus on healing and recovery.
Anything you can give — no matter the amount— will help me stay afloat and bring me one step closer to some relief and stability.
Even sharing this page means so much. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your endless continued kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
