While serving a 30-year federal sentence at FCI Aliceville, I created the Peer Success Program—a peer-led mentorship initiative that helped incarcerated women prepare for reentry. I collaborated with Prison Professors and its founder Michael Santos, documenting my growth through the platform. That work ultimately influenced the President to commute my sentence in December 2025. Today, I serve as an ambassador for Prison Professors, continuing to mentor people still inside. I also authored the Peer-Led Mentorship Handbook for use in federal facilities.
Now, facility leadership at FCI Aliceville has personally invited me back to speak at a celebration honoring the Peer Success Team I created—believed to be a first for a clemency recipient still on home confinement. Probation has approved the trip. The facility has no budget for travel or a speaking engagement, and I'll miss work and school to be there. I'm not asking for a speaking fee—just help getting there. The funds will cover airfare, hotel, ground transportation, and lost wages.
This trip is about showing the women still inside that what we built together is real—and that someone who walked those halls came home and came back. Your support will help make this possible, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can give.
