Help Celena Pay for Car Repairs

Life has been exceptionally hard recently. I moved across the country from GA to AZ expecting to be living the dream but I’ve been thrown into several situations that have put me in a very difficult mental and financial place, especially with my car. I have a 2017 Buick Encore that I bought from Carmax July of 2022. I’ve had nothing but issues with it, and I don’t remember a time it has driven correctly since I got it. Luckily I paid for a MaxCare plan and had some things under warranty so I’ve never had to pay much for any repairs. The last time I got it repaired, in February, it was a $3000 issue that I only paid $50 for.
However, this month my car started giving me more issues. Overheating, not starting, violently shaking, smelling like gas and/or mysterious fumes. I took it in to the repair shop thinking it’d be yet another easy fix, but I was wrong! My warranty expired about 1500 miles ago, so I’m facing a $7000+ car repair. I need a new starter, a new turbo, and replacements to several smaller parts that have broken from a chain reaction of everything going wrong.
The worst part? I obviously can’t afford $7000 (recent college grad with no savings because I’ve been paying to simply survive my whole adult life), and I can’t afford $40 a day on Uber/lyft fees because I live on my own and have bills to pay. I owe too much on it to trade it in for something else, so I’m stuck driving a car that barely drives just to transport myself to and from work everyday.
I’ve spoken (and sobbed, to be honest) to CarMax and the warranty company to no avail. It’s unfair that they sold me a piece of work and I’m stuck paying an exorbitant amount of money for repairs that should have been fixed the first time I took it in.
I’ve never been one to post a sob story and ask for help, but I’m out of options and this is taking a huge toll on my mental health. Without a car, I can’t afford to live my day to day life, and especially not the dream life I intend to live. I’m asking for $8000 to cover all of the auto repairs and recover some of the hit I’ve taken with rideshare fees.
