My name is Nicole and I am a very close friend of Shannon's and all monies are going to help aid in her treatment over the upcoming months.
Shannon's story
Diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in May 2015, Shannon completed 5 months of chemotherapy followed by Bilateral Mastectomy with axillary lymph nodes removed.
Fast forward to June 2018, Shannon underwent a routine procedure followed by an injury that warranted a CT scan.
The CT scan showed lesions on her lungs and an enlarged mediastinal lymph node. PET scan, accompanied by multiple scopes, biopsies and testing resulted in the diagnosis Triple Negative Breast Cancer; Metastatic to lungs, lymph nodes and bone.
Shannon had gone the western medicine route back in 2015, and is now open to a more holistic, integrative approach.
The treatments recommended to Shannon by a facility in Irvine, are not covered by her insurance. The treatments are upwards of $20,000 if not more.
Shannon has implemented treatment in Irvine and has met many patients with positive testimonials.
Shannon has always been one to pay it forward and give to others having worked as an ER nurse the past few years. She worked very hard over a seven year period while raising her three beautiful children to graduate and work as an RN, which she accomplished. She loves helping others and now I ask as her friend, that you help pay it forward to Shannon.
As Shannon is currently undergoing treatment, that began this week, she is out of work for an undetermined amount of time to be able to allow her body to heal and focus on the holistic treatment she needs to kick cancers ass a second time.
