Help celebrate the life of Emma Louise Duffy

Donation protected
Hi there
This week the world lost one of its brightest lights: our friend, colleague, sister in faith, Emma Duffy, who was just 34.

It was my privilege to be Emma’s pastor during her time on Teesside and it’s a privilege again, on behalf of Emma’s sister and dad, to create this page as a way to help pay for her funeral and burial.

Emma’s passing was sudden and unexpected, and so the costs associated with her funeral were not something anyone had planned for.

When Emma’s lovely mum - Bev - passed away it left a huge hole in the family but it’s a source of comfort for them now to know Emma can be buried next to her mum.

The fundraising target would cover the cost of Emma’s casket, the service, the cemetery plot near her mum, and headstone, as well as any unforeseen costs from her unexpected passing.

As news of Emma’s death became public countless people have paid tribute to her and have taken time to message Amy and Alan. Many, like myself, keen to do something practical to help. With that in mind, if you would like to make a donation - large or small - you’ll be directly helping Emma’s family, and honouring the memory of Emma too.

For the last nine years Emma lived in Bolsover with her sister. She worked as a patient representative for the Royal College of Psychiatry - which she loved.

Always passionate about Jesus and caring for others she volunteered as a street pastor and at the local youth club when she was well enough.

She loved her church - Redeemer King - and was an advocate for better mental health care around the country.

Emma was fiercely brave in documenting her own health journey, though the family still await her case of death. Even in the lowest points of her life where her health hung in the balance Emma always thought of others. Ever reaching out to encourage and inspire others, and always talking about Jesus, her loss as a daughter, sister, family member, friend and colleague, is profound.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our lovely Emma.
