Help celebrate Kyle's life cut short!
Hi, Kyle Maus' family is asking for funds to help celebrate his shortened, but full life when he unexpectedly passed on Friday August 13, 2021 at the young age of 24.
Kyle, despite having some physical disabilities, did not let that stop him from achieving many of the 'normal goals' most young adults aspire to. He got his driver's licence and worked in construction with his cousins (which each considered 'brothers' versus cousins) in the Metro Vancouver area. Kyle was very knowledgeable with computers and part of a keen gamer community for the past 10+ years.
He also provided a wealth of support to his grandparents with whom he lived with in a basement suite. Especially in recent times when one of the cousins unexpectedly passed about 2.5 years ago from H1N1 virus complications along with his granny contracting a rare herpes virus which destroyed her frontal lobe within the same time period. Kyle was critical in helping grandpa care for granny and the three other grandsons under the grandparent's care.
Most recently, Kyle likely saved his grandpa's life a couple months before passing when he had what turned out to be a heart attack in the evening and Kyle immediately knew to call 911. While grandpa was in hospital for extended time (twice) he again stepped up to the plate caring for granny up to his passing.
As you can sense, Kyle's love for his family deserves celebrating but no one plans for such expenses for a young person. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated by the Maus family.
Any excess amount over the required amount will be donated to a charity.
