Arturo Cervantes was the most amazing, generous, selfless, and adventurous man to ever live. He positively touched the lives of everyone around him, always putting others before himself and finding joy in every moment. He loved exploring new places, dancing, sharing stories, and making people laugh. Arturo was the joy in every room, and his absence leaves a void that words cannot describe. Most of all, he loved his wife, America, and his mother, Graciela. He lived to make them laugh and to bring light and peace to their hearts.

It pains me to write this, on Tuesday evening, Arturo was in a tragic car accident and, unfortunately, didn’t make it. To some, we lost a friend, a husband, a son, or a brother; to me, he was the closest thing I’ve ever had to a father. But to all of us, we lost a true angel warrior. Our family is heartbroken and facing the difficult reality of saying goodbye far too soon.

** We are overwhelmed with gratitude to share that we have now reached our goal for the funeral costs. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has given so generously. I also want to be fully transparent and share that any additional funds raised from this point forward will go directly toward recovery support for my mother, America Gonzalez, to help her through this difficult time.
