Hello friends and family!

My parents are celebrating 60 years of marriage on October 8th, 2026, and we want to make it extra special. Both 82 years old and lifelong residents of the U.S., they have never traveled outside the country. But because they are passionate collectors of Department 56 Dickens’ Village porcelain pieces, which they lovingly set up every Christmas to depict England, we thought it would be truly magical for them to see London, England in real life and life-sized!

We are planning to travel Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026, and return Saturday, October 3rd, 2026. While we won’t be in England on their actual anniversary, we may plan a celebration upon our return, if they’d like—TBD.

Because of their age, their physical limitations, and the long flight, we’re hoping to raise funds for upgraded airline seats so the journey is comfortable and manageable. A long flight is a lot easier when you’re not packed into tiny seats for 10+ hours!

We also understand that with the current state of the world, international travel may be unpredictable or unsafe. To make this fundraiser as secure as possible for everyone, GoFundMe allows donors to request refunds if the trip cannot happen.

Additionally, if anyone else would like to join the adventure over the pond, we’d love to have you along! The pace of the trip will be set by my 82‑year‑old parents, so anyone who comes along is not expected to keep up with us, and we will not be adhering to anyone else’s schedule or pace. ✨
