Help Cecilia Walk: Life-Changing Therapy for Our Miracle Girl

Our daughter Cecilia is our miracle. She came into this world 10 weeks early and spent her first 7 weeks in the NICU, surrounded by wires, monitors, and so many unknowns. Every single day was a fight for her, and somehow, this tiny little baby showed us more strength than we thought possible.

When Cecilia was just a year old, we received the official diagnosis of cerebral palsy, something we had started to suspect months earlier. Hearing it out loud was heartbreaking, but it also made one thing clear, we would stop at nothing to give her the best chance to grow, learn, and thrive.
From that moment on, we threw ourselves into every therapy we could access: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, aquatic therapy, equine therapy, and more. Cecilia has worked so hard, day after day, but progress was slow. The truth is, the therapies covered by insurance aren’t designed to set children like Cecilia up for long-term success. They demand quick results on paper, when what these children really need is patience, consistency, and a chance to build one skill at a time.

And then we found a therapy called the Adeli Method, not commonly used in the U.S., but developed and widely applied in Eastern Europe. It employs a special suit made up of a vest, shorts, knee pads, shoes, and elastic bands that mimic muscle connections. The suit adds controlled resistance and alignment while allowing full range of motion. This helps the body work with gravity and improve coordination and posture during therapeutic exercises. We committed to a 3-week intensive program, praying it might make a difference. What we saw instead was nothing short of life-changing.

In just three weeks, Cecilia made more progress than she had in the past year and a half. She is now able to sit upright on her own for 15–20 minutes, only needing a little help here and there when she wobbles. She can hold herself in a crawling position and is starting to push forward. She has even begun taking steps in a walker, something we once feared might never happen.

For the first time, we don’t just have hope for Cecilia’s future, we have proof of what’s possible.

But this therapy is extremely expensive and not covered by insurance. Without it, Cecilia could lose the chance to keep building on these gains, and with cerebral palsy, lost time can mean lost potential. Every day matters. Every session matters. This isn’t just therapy, it is the key to her independence, her freedom, her ability to live the fullest life she can.

Our immediate goal is to raise $15,000, which will cover about six months of Adeli Method therapy for Cecilia. Anything raised beyond this goal will go toward extending Cecilia’s therapy, and to hopefully provide scholarships for other children in need, children who deserve the same opportunity as Cecilia to reach their full potential.

Cecilia has already shown us her determination. She is ready to keep fighting for her independence. But she can’t do it alone, she needs this therapy, and we need your help to get her there.

If you choose to support Cecilia, whether through donating, sharing her story, or simply keeping her in your thoughts, you become part of her journey. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps open another door for her future and the gift of progress, independence, and hope.
