Help Cecilia Dance at Boston Ballet School

Hello! My name is Cecilia and I am a junior in high school from Minnesota. I have been doing ballet since I was 3 years old and have grown up in the performative arts ever since. Currently, I dance 5 days a week, specialized in ballet, in addition to contemporary, character, and modern styles as well. This winter, I was accepted into the Boston Ballet School for their Summer Intensive program! Through this opportunity, I would be temporarily living in Boston and training over the summer in a pre-professional setting to prepare me for one of my greatest ambitions - pursuing a career in dance and putting me one step closer to my dream dance company: the Boston Ballet!

The tuition, however, has been one of my greatest obstacles as residency and class tuition adds up to about $7,500. I am currently working to help fund what I can within the cost and have been extremely grateful for the partial grant I received from the Ann Bancroft Foundation!!

For me, this donation would not only mean furthering my education in ballet but also furthering my passion for dance itself. I can say with confidence that dance is a part of the way I express myself, regulate myself, discipline myself, and an integral part of what keeps brightness in my future. I don’t know where or how I will be dancing professionally and what path I will take to get there, but I know with these opportunities granted to me, I can be all the closer to finding out - one day allowing a whole audience to believe in my passion too.
