There are many loved ones who want to create this fundraiser for our dear friend Cecile. Personally, she had been a dear friend of mine for 20 years. She has been part of my village and part of many villages in her life, always giving and supporting. We were, still are, part of a community who held each other up while raising our children in often... creative ways. Cecile's motherhood was the path that brought so many of us together.
Cecile received the devastating news on Tuesday, December 28th, that her eldest child, her son Jason, had passed away. This sudden passing, this loss, is not only bone crushingly painful for Cecile and her family, but has also had a dire financial impact on them.
Jason was a brilliant artist and animal lover. He loved animals & they loved him so much. Wild birds would land on his shoulders sometimes for a brief second before flying away again. He never met a dog that didn't adore him & he loved to love them. When he was home, the family birds couldn't get enough of him.

We are working together as a community to raise funds to help Cecile and her family through this devastating time.
The services alone, no matter how simple, are astronomically expensive. Along with that, Cecile as a self employed business owner, has had to close her shop temporarily to grieve and take time to plan services and settle affairs.
Funds raised will be used to plan memorial services and burial costs, assist Cecile's younger two children with related travel to be with family, and to compensate for lost wages due to needing to take time away from work.
Please know that any assistance you can provide will be going to a family who has had a lifelong commitment to giving back to their community.
