A Devoted Mother’s Sudden Battle

My name is Arabella Kechajas, and I am reaching out to you with an urgent plea for my sister, Cecil Balderson. Cecil is a vibrant, active woman—a pillar in her church and local community, and a mother who lives entirely for her two children, aged 16 and 9.

Everything changed on March 14, 2026. Cecil was rushed to the ICU at SLU Hospital, where she has remained in a comatose state ever since. For over a month, our family has been praying for a miracle, waiting for the moment she opens her eyes again.

Cecil and her husband have always worked tirelessly to provide a bright future for their children. Her husband continues to teach online from her bedside, trying to maintain their dream of giving their children a good education.
