This young man, Cecil John, has been accepted to Kisii University in Kenya to study to be a doctor!

Kisii University is 2 hours from his home in Awasii.

I have been friends with his adopted mother, Salome, for over five years, and have been so pleased and proud to watch (from afar!) Cecil's progress through his high school education.

Schooling in Kenya includes many fees for books, uniforms, and all thwir own supplies - things most American families in public school do not need to provide - and is difficult for families like Cecil's to provide.

University in Kenya also comes with costs, but, good news, it is MUCH LESS than what we pay for college here!

Can you please chip in and help Cecil with his first year at Kisii University? The cost is 87,500 Ksh. The university is providing 17,000 Ksh, and families are responsible for the rest. I am asking for a little more to help with supplies he will need, plus transportation.

Cecil will need additional funds for a lab coat, trousers, class shirt, a blanket and mattress, as well as other supplies, plus a suitcase, and help with transportation because he will be two hours away from home.

Becoming a doctor will help his younger siblings - George, Austin, and Ann - in their educational journeys as well.
