Ceci Blake is a dear friend of mine in need of help. They lost their job last year, as so many have during the global pandemic and subsequent economic crisis of 2020. Shortly thereafter, they lost their apartment as well. They were lucky at the time that a friend was able to take them in. They have used the time since to search for a new job, but have had no luck. Now their friend and roommate is getting ready to move out of state, and Ceci is fast running out of options. I am asking anyone who is able to please donate what you can to help Ceci find a stable living situation while they continue to try to rebuild their life
Ceci is also struggling with chronic health conditions, deadly allergies, and mental health concerns that have only been exacerbated by these circumstances. A constant low-level exposure to latex (one of their major allergens) at their previous job worsened their sensitivities to all of their allergies as well as caused other health complications. Losing their place to live and having to give up most of their belongings, Ceci also has very few gender-affirming clothes, making it difficult for them to feel comfortable in their skin.
Ceci's most immediate need is a safe place to live where their allergies won't be exacerbated. They cannot be exposed to latex, potatoes, banana, or pineapple - even being in the same room will cause them to be unable to breathe.
Longer term, Ceci needs funding for extensive medical testing and care to receive proper diagnoses for the chronic conditions they are struggling with. With proper diagnosis they can begin the process of filing for medical disability, but they have not had the funds to pursue this fully as of yet.
Information on job opportunities is also welcome, though they need to be work from home and with flexible hours to accommodate Ceci's health conditions.
