This is Cece, our beloved 4 year old tortoise shell cat who was attacked by a dog on 15th July. She sustained some horrific injuries trying to defend herself. Her fur was sheared from her right thigh and a laceration to the open wound. The vet found a tear to her under belly and she was missing a claw. Cece received immediate veterinary care, including emergency surgery to reattach the remaining skin and patch up her open wound resulting in a huge scar along her right side. She is on various medication, including antibiotics, painkillers and anti inflammatories. She is in recovery and will take weeks to heal.

We, as her family, are devastated to see her in such a vulnerable condition. It’s been an emotional and traumatic time for all of us. The estimated cost for this care is over £5,000.
