Hello Everyone!
This is Celeste, she goes by Cece. Cece is 10 years old and so full of life! This year, in January of 2025, she had a seizure that lasted over 25 minutes long. After a traumatizing ER visit and plenty of doctor’s visits over the course of a month she was diagnosed with epilepsy. This diagnosis has deeply impacted Cece’s life. Even now, almost 8 months later, we still don’t know what specifically triggers her seizures, and she can have them at any time. Because of this, her primary care doctor and her neurologist have both recommended looking into getting her a service dog.
Sophie, our lovely goldendoodle, has been evaluated and found to be an amazing match to become a service dog for Cece. This training will include fall catching, decompression therapy, fetching medication, and more. Sophie will even eventually be able to go to school with Cece due to her training!
This does come at a cost out of our pockets and we’d love more than anything to reach out to our village for help!
Thank you for being a support in our lives!
