Help us save the animals of South Carolina/Georgia

I am affiliated with Courtney’s Canine Care Rescue,  a 501(c)(3) charity that rescues dogs, ducks, horses, pigs (and just about anything that crosses our path) in Georgia and South Carolina. Because of the influx of mistreated and abandoned animals we need to relocate as soon as possible to a larger property. To ensure we can afford this move we must come up with $8000 to secure the property that we need.  Courtney’s Canine Care Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public charity, run entirely by volunteers.  All funds raised will go towards the move to the new property and to the care of the animals. We are a sanctuary for the animals who are sick, homeless, feral, etc  and we provide a forever home to the animals who need one.
When we first embarked upon this dream of ours to save feral animals and rescue those suffering from extreme cruelty/neglect, we knew there would be challenges. What we did not know was quite how many animals we would be able to save. The necessity of building capacity to accommodate that expansion is critical.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are very grateful for your support!

Stray dogs that we’ve been feeding and trying to catch for months now. There are 8 that we feed daily. We will continue to build a bond with them in hopes of getting them safe and off the streets.

This is Buck, he was 1 of 43 dogs rescued from a hoarding case in South Georgia. When we went to pick Buck up from the home he was being removed from, we saw the nightmare that 43 dogs had been living. Filthy cages stacked floor to ceiling and poor Buck was the bottom cage of his row. The house had no air conditioning and the temperature was 115 degrees inside. Below is Buck now since he’s been with us. He’s a beautiful boy who is available for adoption.

This is Dixie, one of the other dogs we saved from the hoarding case. This is her at the property we rescued her from, just a few minutes before her freedom ride. Dixie’s kennel was one of the worst in the house, there is no telling when it was cleaned last, if ever. Dixie is thriving with us and will be available for adoption soon, we are still working on her anxiety and manners but she is a sweet girl.

Dixie in her kennel at the hoarding property, scared of everyone because she was never socialized.

This is Jake. He was abandoned at our local dump (pictured) when he was just a few months old. Jake waited months for his owners to come back, always running and hiding from us every time we tried to catch him. It took 6 months and a lot of patience but Jake no longer spends his days alone & scared at the dump. Jake will eventually be available for adoption but we have a long road ahead of us before that. Because he was so young when he was abandoned, he has a lot of feral tendencies. We will give Jake as much time as he needs to adjust to life as a normal dog.

This is Charlie Brown, the day he was rescued from an animal shelter in Atlanta. We knew Charlie’s life mattered and he was scheduled to be euthanized that day, what we didn’t know was that he’d still be with us, waiting for a family of his own, 4 years later. Charlie was adopted out once and lived with a family for almost a year. Unfortunately Charlie was returned due to no fault of his own. We won’t give up on Charlie because we believe there is a person out there for him but if not, he will spend his life with us.
