Meet D.J., Estevan & CC, our grandsons and their mom. They've had a run of bad luck recently. In the span of a week, they lost a beloved family member, their housing, most of their belongings, and their vehicle.

We took them in; they are safe and fed, but starting over from next to nothing. We were able to retrieve a few belongings and help to get basic clothing, shoes, diapers, etc. Any little things we could pick up along the way.

CC would like to move back to her hometown, and we support her in this, as there are more job opportunities along with a better school system for DJ, plus a bigger support network for them. But the last big hurdle to their new start is lack of a vehicle. She needs one badly. Neither the town we live in nor her hometown has public transportation of any kind.

We are not looking for anything fancy. Used and reliable is what we're going for here, but we can't swing it on our own right now. That's why we're reaching out to the community—because every little bit adds up!

The farther that we can extend our reach into the community, the greater our chances of meeting the goal of raising 5k to get CC and the kids set up to begin again. We know that not everyone can give much, but if many add even a little together, I know that we can help them get there.
