Help Cayson get a Diabetes Alert Dog

Hi, we are the parents of Cayson (Dennis and Katrina). We are looking to raise money to help with the cost of getting out 4 year old son Cayson a Diabetes Alert Dog (DAD). Cayson was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2. It has been an absolute battle since day one. Cayson has come leaps and bounds since his diagnosis and has shown that despite his disability he stives to live a normal amazing life that we all aspire for. In two long yet short years Cayson and our entire family have learned to live life with this life changing disease. Thanks to the amazing support of family, friends, and medical providers, we have battled this disease with all we have. We could have never done it without such amazing support, love and friendship.

We are looking to raise money to get Cayson a Diabetes Alert dog. Until recently we did not know the amazing support and assistance that Cayson could receive from one of these amazing support animals. These dogs are train to detect both high and low blood sugars and assist their human in correcting those sugars before it becomes dangerous. Although Cayson has the support of amazing technology these dogs are trained in detecting both high and low blood sugars 10 to 15 minutes prior to the monitor being able to detect these trends.

As his parents we want to have any and all tool at our and Cayson's disposal to help in this constant uphill battel. I don't think many people understand the constant struggle it is to simply keep him safe, not only from the world around him but even from his own body.
