Hi, my name is Caylyn Morningstar. My mother’s health has declined over the past 6 months dramatically. She has congestive heart failure, COPD, RA, and a few other problems. Her heart strength is at 23% and is causing her multiple issues. Her body is retaining water that her heart can’t pump thru out her body now. We are going in and out of the hospital due to this. Back in October, she fell and broke her shoulder and 2 places in her pelvic bone. I took off work with FMLA to help with her rehabilitation. Unfortunately, her health did not improve, and I got fired because she needed me to still care for her. She doesn’t have the strength to get up and make her own food let alone due any self care. I have tried to become her caregiver, but her home won’t pass an inspection. Her insurance won’t cover an at home nurse either. She doesn’t trust just anyone to care for her. 

So, I am asking for funds to help me get what I need to fix her house and cover my small amount of bills. This way, I can actually be her caregiver fully until she passes. I can do the work myself. My mother is on a fixed income, and I have no savings or anything to fall back on. I don’t ask for help but I am stuck between working and paying bills or being there for my dying mother. It is not fair how our system doesn’t help the elderly. I would love to stay by her side until the time comes. Anything will help, thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping or sharing this.
