During the tsunami evacuation, two large pitbulls attacked Cayla and her beloved dog Roxy. Nobody was around Nawiliwili when she and her dog were attacked. Cayla has serious injuries on her legs and arms and possible nerve damage. Roxy, her beloved dog had to have emergency surgeries and almost lost a leg and literally hundreds of stitches. The vet bills are almost $5000 and Cayla has had to use her rent money to try and pay what she can. She needs our help to get through this.

The attack was horrific and Cayla acted bravely when the two dogs latched onto her dog after biting her leg. She ran into her home and got a knife and was able to stab both dogs to stop the attack. One of the attacking pitbulls died as a result and the other one was taken away by the owner. Cayla has serious injuries on her legs and arm and her dog Roxy barely survived. Please give what you can. The wheels of justice turn slowly and eventually the dog owner will be charged by the county and she may get some restitution but it could take months or even a year if she is lucky.
