Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers—

It’s not easy for me to ask for help. I’ve always tried to be independent and handle life’s challenges on my own, but right now I’m facing a situation that’s beyond what I can manage alone — and it’s about someone very dear to me: my furbaby boy, Cayenne.

Over the past few years, my own health has been declining in ways I never anticipated. Since moving to Colorado, it’s only worsened. I’ve been dealing with ongoing, complex medical issues that have involved nearly every system in my body. I’ve had daily appointments, endless labs, imaging, and testing. I’m doing my best to get answers, heal, and hold onto hope.

While navigating this, Cayenne — my sweet three-year-old boy — has also been battling serious health issues. He’s not just a pet. He’s family. He’s my emotional support, my companion, my lifeline. He has saved me on some of my darkest days.

Cayenne has already endured:

-An enlarged heart and heart murmur

-Asthma and chronic lung infections

-A compromised immune system

And now, he has developed a tumor in his mouth. Yesterday, he had surgery to remove and biopsy the growth. I’m trying to stay hopeful, but I also have to be realistic — we don’t yet know what the results will mean. However, his bloodwork does not reassure me that this is going to have a happy outcome.

Despite everything, he’s still full of love, cuddles, and the playful spark that makes him him. I need to do everything I can to give him the chance he deserves.

Because of my health, I haven’t been able to work. I’ve been selling items on Depop and pet sitting when I can, but I simply can’t cover the cost of his care right now. That’s why I’m asking for help — for Cayenne.

If you’re able to contribute anything at all, it will go directly toward:

-The cost of Cayenne’s surgery and biopsy

-Follow-up care and medications

-Ongoing treatment and diagnostics depending on the outcome
