Help Catty Corner Cafe Recover

Catty Corner Cafe opened in Leesburg, Virginia, on April 1, 2022. The cafe provides people with a fun place to hang out with cats in a beautiful, relaxing environment. All the cats are rescues that are up for adoption. And we found happy forever homes for 25 amazing cats in less than 4 months.

Unfortunately, a bout of ringworm forced us to close temporarily on July 2 and remove the 11 cats we had on hand. It took 10 days before all the cats could be removed to foster homes, which means the cafe was closed for that 10 days. Now we will be deep cleaning and discarding/replacing many toys, bedding, etc., before we can re-open with all new cats. We're hoping that will be on Saturday, July 16.

Being closed for a full two weeks, with a cost of $200/day just to cover normal expenses, has been a financial hardship for Heather Donahue, the owner, who had just started this small family business. She would be extremely grateful for any contributions to help her defray the losses she suffered, plus the additional expenses she now has for cleaning, treatment products, and the replacement of many items she has to discard. (For more info on the cafe, go to www.CattyCornerCafe.com.)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! (purr, purr, purr!)
