Help Cats From Egypt Find Homes in Vermont!
Donation protected
Please help us bring kitties having a hard time getting adopted to Vermont!
A Windham County Humane Society volunteer is adopting two cats from Zee's shelter in Giza, where many cats are disabled and have been waiting years for a home. She is trying to bring four more on the same flight to be adopted through WCHS in Vermont. WCHS sees a slowdown on cat intakes during the winter months, and will be able to find homes for Zee's very quickly! Zee does her best to get these cats adopted internationally, at cost-- she does not make a profit on the fee to transport the cats, and they come fixed and fully vaccinated. The volunteer will be picking up her cats at the airport, and would like to bring as many as possible on the same plane. $500 covers the transport fees for four cats-- please help us find them a home!
Zee Animal Shelter in Egypt has over 200 cats currently, and is getting as many as 10 more every week. Animal rights laws in Egypt are few and very rarely enforced, and Zee often receives animals that have been poisoned, starved, or abused. She has a difficult time finding homes for all of them as there are so many, and cats with missing eyes or limbs are not considered desirable for adoption. Some of these cats have been in the shelter for over five years!
Please check out Zee's website for more info on her work and the dire situation of animals in Egypt, and the Windham County Humane Society's to see where the kitties are going! Please check them out below, and feel free to contact me!
