Yesterday, our family experienced something no one is ever prepared for—Catie’s son Gavin was tragically shot, and we lost him. There are no words that fully capture the shock, heartbreak, and weight of what our family is walking through right now. If you know Catie, you know how deeply she loves her children. Right now, she’s trying to hold herself together while facing the unimaginable in the middle of this pain.

We are raising funds to help Catie cover immediate and ongoing needs: funeral and cremation expenses, medical bills, emergency care, time off from work, support for her children, daily living expenses, and hopefully counseling and emotional support for her and her boys. Gavin was an organ donor, and even in his passing, he is saving lives. That is who he was—someone who is still giving even now.
