We are thrilled to share come incredible news! Our own Caterin Rapalo, standout player for the Honduras National team and Policía Nacional FC and beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, has been offered a scholarship to go to school and play soccer at Pratt Community College in Kansas! This is a life changing opportunity and we couldn’t be prouder.

Cati has worked tirelessly to get here. On the field she is a talented and hard working player known for her humility and coachability. Off the field she is a kind friend, a fun and loving big sister and cousin, and much beloved by all who are blessed enough to know her.

Living with her (foster) mom, Suyapa, and younger sisters, after many years of residing in a children’s home, Cati has faced many challenges with determination and grace, amazing all of us who have watched her grow from an energetic and intense preschooler into the independent, driven, and deeply kind person she is today.

Pratt CC has offered Cati a scholarship that covers tuition, fees, and books and they have identified a host family since the scholarship does not cover room and board in student housing. We still need to cover airfare, insurance, some school fees, and a meal plan while she is on campus for class and practice.

Our goal is to raise $5000 to help with her first year, and any extra funds will go toward unforeseen expenses or toward the costs of her second year.

We are overjoyed and so proud of Cati and are going to miss her so much but we know this is an incredible opportunity for her future and we want to do everything we can to support her on this journey.
