Help Support My Mom’s Care and Recovery

All, as some of you are aware, my mom has been in and out of nursing facilities for the past four months. Unfortunately, she has now entered her fourth facility in just five months. While insurance has helped in the past, the length of her stay has exceeded what is covered, and we are now responsible for the cost of her care at this new facility.

For the past few years, I have been her primary caregiver, helping her through difficult health challenges and doing everything I can to keep her safe and comfortable at home. I only receive income when I am able to care for her at home, and with her now in a facility, that income is paused. Her pension, social security, and my own contributions normally go toward our daily living expenses. In addition, her food stamps will be paused while she is away, creating an even greater financial strain.

We are asking for your kindness—whether through a donation or even just sharing this campaign. All funds will go directly toward the cost of her continued healthcare as she receives treatment and recovers from cracked ribs, and other health conditions, as well as essential expenses at home such as food, utilities, and gas that cannot be put on hold.

My mom has always been the person who taught me what it means to care for others, to love openly, and to leave the world better than you found it.
