My name is Cathy and I’m asking for your help in saving my home from foreclosure. While I am embarrassed to have to do this, I have no choice because of my limited fixed income.

My kids and I got this home through Habitat for Humanity back in 2009. At that time, I was working full-time and didn’t have a problem paying my mortgage, but after an injury at my home, I was forced to stop working. Anyone who’s applied for disability benefits knows how long it takes, and even after being approved, I was already behind on payments.

The total amount requested includes both mortgage payments missed and money they’ve already paid out for taxes, homeowners insurance, and community dues, as well as late fees.

I don’t want to lose my home; it’s the only stable place my kids have lived in since 2009.
