On July 17th, Catherine and Nic, a young couple, lost their home in a fire. In a matter of moments, everything was gone: clothing, furniture, keepsakes, and the place they had called home.

Cat works as a vet tech in Powell River and Nic is a carpenter. They are actively involved in their community and were just beginning to build their lives together. They’re two of the kindest, most hardworking, and loving people I know. They’re the type of people who would never ask for help unless it was truly needed.

Despite the loss of their home, they are doing their best to stay positive. What matters most is that thankfully no one was hurt. Now they face the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

This fundraiser is to help with the basics: clothing, food, and everyday essentials as they begin to rebuild what was lost. Starting over comes with so many unexpected costs. Every little bit will help them get back on their feet.
