Hello! I’m Angel: a trans musician and artist known as Catherine Moan. Over the past few years I’ve been writing and finishing my second album and have gotten it as close to the finish line as I can until things start to cost money. It’s been a long road to get this album done, there’s been many hiccups since my first record that have hindered this second album and I am very proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish in spite of that. I’ve been working multiple jobs all year to save money for this and in the final hour I’ve managed to get sick and developed an injury that is going to require expensive surgery and aftercare. As of the moment I’m being quoted $10-$12k for the surgery before insurance and it’s staggering. I’ve spent two months now navigating getting this taken care of through insurance and have continued to strike out. This is potentially going to bankrupt me but at the very least leave me with no budget to pay for mixing & mastering, getting photos, artwork, and other content required to release the album. I’ve been as frugal as can be with borrowing gear and using less than ideal recording spaces but this is the wall that I’ve hit. I’m extremely proud of the new songs and the message they tell and I desperately want to release it soon rather than wait another year of working and living below my means to get this done. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can 100% guarantee a delivered album as it’s already been recorded and is prepared for mixing and mastering. I’m so grateful for all the friends and fans who have supported me and gotten me this far. Any extra donations that go beyond the album will go towards my medical expenses and recovery.
