Help Catherine Allen Get a Life-Changing Wheelchair
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Catherine Allen, and I am reaching out for help due to my current medical and financial situation. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a connective tissue disorder that significantly affects my daily life. EDS causes my joints to be hypermobile and frequently dislocate, leading to chronic pain and difficulty in mobility. To manage my symptoms and improve my quality of life, I need a specialized wheelchair.
Unfortunately, acquiring the necessary wheelchair comes at a high cost, and I am unable to afford it on my own. The wheelchair will help me manage my symptoms better and allow me to continue pursuing my dreams.
I recently got off disability, and I am currently working as a substitute teacher while finishing my education degree. Teaching is my passion, and I am dedicated to achieving my goal of becoming a full-time teacher. However, my condition has made it increasingly difficult to carry out everyday tasks, let alone fulfill my responsibilities at work and school. Without this wheelchair, I fear I may not be able to continue working or complete my degree.
The total cost of the wheelchair is beyond my means, but thankfully, my insurance has agreed to pay a portion of it. Despite this assistance, I am still required to pay $2,122.48 out of pocket, which is a significant amount for me.
I am asking for your support to help me raise the necessary funds to cover the remaining cost of the wheelchair. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in my life. Your generosity will not only provide me with the mobility aid I desperately need but also enable me to continue my journey towards becoming the teacher I've always aspired to be.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation. Your kindness and support mean the world to me.
Sincerely,
Catherine Allen
