Cate and Michael have been an integral part of BBAWC/Brooklyn Cat Cafe’s community for years as caretakers of the animals and facility. In addition to physically helping to build the Brooklyn Cat Cafe, they are active rescuers and fosterers, specifically focusing on animals with special needs or who require a little extra TLC.


Their home was completely destroyed in a fire last night and they lost everything — including all of their resident and foster cats. We can’t imagine the pain that they are feeling and want to provide as much support as possible for them while they attempt to find solid ground.


Although we can’t take away their suffering, we have set up a Go Fund Me to help them meet their immediate needs and to give them one less thing to worry about.


Cate and Michael are always the first to offer help to any animal or person in need and are incredible friends and community members. If you can, please help us return the favor in their hour of need.
