For years, Catastrophe Cat Grooming has been more than a business - it’s been a safe haven for Livermore’s cats and the families who love them. From the shyest rescues to the most high-maintenance Persians, we’ve offered gentle, expert care that puts every kitty’s comfort first.

Now, we’re facing a heartbreaking challenge: our lease is ending, and we must move out by November 30th. Without a new location, the cats who depend on us will lose their sanctuary.

This shop was born from love. I opened it after seeing the incredible empathy Steve brought to every cat he touched. One of our first clients was a frail stray, at least 20 years old, tangled in painful mats. After her first bath, she purred with relief - it was likely the first time she had ever felt truly cared for. That moment defined our mission: every cat deserves dignity, safety, and compassion.

Since then, we’ve helped countless cats like Mr. Wilson, a grey Persian who came to us with a serious wound after a grooming mishap. Together, we carefully freed him from his mats and got him the emergency care he needed. Stories like his remind us why Livermore needs a dedicated cat-only grooming space.

But right now, we cannot do this alone. The funds raised will go directly toward securing a new location - covering the deposit, first month’s rent, and moving costs. Every dollar brings us closer to keeping this safe space alive for the cats who have nowhere else to go.
