Hello! I'm trying to raise funds for a cat shelter in Serbia very dear to my heart.

Cat Shelter Felix is the first registered cat shelter and the only cat sanctuary in Serbia. Since 2011 the volunteers running the shelter have rescued countless cats from the streets, all of them unwanted, abandoned, sick, abused, and broken. They now provide lifetime care to over 90 shelter residents, ensuring they have a safe and loving home till the end of their days.

A tragedy struck three weeks ago. They had a panleukopenia outbreak at the shelter, losing five gorgeous kittens and out of all the cats that contracted the virus, only the biggest ginger baby boy and Magic, the adult cat they picked up with fractured jaws, broken pelvis and air rifle pellets logged in the head managed to pull through. However, they had not taken in any new cat with panleukopenia; the virus has probably spread via someone's clothing or shoes because there is literally and epidemic of panleukopenia now wreaking havoc in Subotica. Shelter residents have all been vaccinated and revaccinated against contagious diseases, but this virus is a mutated monster that bypasses vaccines, barely reacts to veterinary treatment and in the end it all comes down to individual immunity.

Trying to help the kittens the vets did everything that could be done and now there is a debt of around 2500€ in total to three different vets. To make everything worse if it can be made worse, there are also two shelter cats undergoing treatment for FIP currently, and the debts are soaring.
