Hi all! My name is Jade and I am Cat’s mom. As most who’ve met her know, Cat is no stranger to vet visits and various accidents. She has been suffering from an abscess on her chin, but despite antibiotics and two lancing’s, she is still in a lot of discomfort and has started refusing to eat. She has a surgery scheduled for this upcoming week to remove the entirety of the abscess and have it sent off for additional testing. Her previous samples tested negative for cancer cells but we want to make absolutely sure since it is being so persistent and affecting her so negatively. We have been battling this abscess since the beginning of February, and we are both anxious to have this finally dealt and done with.

 

Although the first tests result coming back negative are a relief and we’re very hopeful everything will turn out fine, the amount of vet visits and the financial impact has become overwhelming for me to handle on my own. The cost of her upcoming surgery is estimated at $1,500-2,000 and I am still struggling to finish paying for her previous visits. Tahoe is an incredible community full of wonderful pet owners, and I’m asking for help covering the remaining costs of these visits. All funds raised will go to Cat’s vet bills and any aftercare she will require. Everything contributed is helping Cat and I to make it through this tough time, easing the financial and mental strain of the last few months and what’s to come.
